I hope everyone’s having a lovely Tuesday 🙂
A few months ago, I applied to two programs of CSSSA (California State Summer School of the Arts).
I applied for Creative Writing as my first choice, but also applied for Visual Arts just in case.
A few weeks ago I got my acceptance packet back!! To both programs!! I was and still am extremely excited and have high hopes for the writing program. Hopefully, over four weeks of intensive writing training, I will become a much better writer.
I decided to post my application pieces for the Visual Art program.
The prompts this year were:
In this assignment we are looking for your ability to communicate a personal view on a particular issue through a work of art.
In this assignment, we will look at how you creatively interpret the problem, and how you make artistic choices.
Choose a piece of your artwork that you feel best demonstrates your technical skill and understanding of your favorite medium.
I know I’m gonna meet some hella sick people at camp, excited for that!!!

Happy Mothers Day to all the moms out there!
Both my parents provide me and my sister with so much, and we’re so grateful for our mom (AND dad!). A day of appreciation is not enough for our amazing mom!
Without them, I couldn’t have achieved such happiness in my daily life. What the hell, I wouldn’t even be here right now haha.
Today is a really busy day for my family, so Bridgette and I did most of our mother’s day work yesterday. We decided to serve her breakfast in bed and cook dinner as well! (This is harder than it sounds, at least for us haha)
For breakfast, we made a really simple French Toast, with a berry yogurt parfait.
Here’s a picture!
For dinner, we made two salads and a baked spaghetti!
Hope everyone’s making their mother’s feel special today!!
Feel free to leave me comments or questions, and look forward to more posts.
