These photos were taken in the summer, and already my world has changed phenomenally. What I can relate to now still is that youthful feeling of hope and faith. These photos were taken at a crossing road point in my life, I didn’t know fully how to interpret the past behind me because it was unstable. There were so many things that I wanted affirmation on before I felt like I could really decide how I felt about myself, love, and where I was going. Waiting on factors outside your control leads always to a shaky passage of time.
…Dreams of Gold
These photos were taken right after my high school baceaulareate-same dress, same makeup. I know, it’s only a bit late. (please catch my sarcasm.) I couldn’t help it though, those last days were a blur of goodbyes, emotions, and tying up loose ends before my long summer trip to Asia. Back in these pictures, I was still with my old boyfriend and we were pretty inseparable. Pictures bring back a lot of memories, but these pictures are more sweet to me in retrospect than bitter- maybe it’s the golden haze on the wheat from the sunshine. Maybe it’s the internal calm that I sense in my expressions in these pictures…I’m watching and accepting the end of a chapter and the end is exciting in a way. I’m usually not one for goodbyes.
But as time passes, everything blurs together, maybe for the better. The happiness and the sadness average each other out, and I am left with armfuls of distinct moments. I think of them as carefully picked jewels in a treasure box. This is my past. This is what makes me myself, as I am today.
Happy weekend everyone! Thanks for sticking with xx
Floral Trailblazer (ft. Tobi)
Hi guys! I’m excited to share a collaboration that I did with Tobi a while back. I am modeling their “Nothing Lasts Forever” romper. As I was scrolling their clothing, this romper immediately caught my eye. It’s a smooth polyester that feels like silk. The flowers are a fresh and bright print and it’s such a great addition to my closet! I paired it with Kate Spade “Imorana” heels, and a nylon bag with some patent accents. Me and Ed Tran headed to a park on a pretty day and snapped these shots- I love the outcome!
…Cute Active Wear (featuring Adidas!)
Hi readers!! I have been having an absolute blast at college and I’m really appreciating my busy but fun-packed schedule. Lately, I have joined a dance off team (our performance is right before Thanksgiving!) The practices are so intense -most nights we practice from 7pm to 2am- but it’s totally worth it for the bonding and for the overall experience. Those who know me well or even just follow me on social media might now that intensive physical exercise isn’t the biggest part of my life. I prefer to exercise through activities such as walking, yoga, or occasional dance workshops. However, exercise is exercise nonetheless, and one of my biggest motivations for going to the gym and getting active is looking the part! I’m very excited to share a recent sponsorship with Adidas and Her Campus. Photocreds to my friend Charlie Chang! Be sure to check out his facebook page as well and give it a like! 🙂
Here is the first look! The jersey and shorts are part of the climalite line, which is made from 100% single jersey polyester and lightweight cotton. They do a great job of helping the wearer stay dry, comfortable, and cool. 🙂 I am excited to wear the jersey to hip hop practice sometime because it is really comfortable but still looks edgy and stylish !
My second outfit features a casual cotton tee and baseball. I love the baby blue color of the shirt, and I love the baseball cap as well-I wear it around campus a ton! I used to wear snapbacks, but I like that baseball caps give off a more laid back and comfortable vibe. Depending on what I wear snapbacks with, I can look like a total fob! Haha, not that it’s bad! It’s just one style, and you know I like to switch things up 🙂
My last outfit makes me feel so spirited! The blue and gold hoodie is part of Adidas’s climawarm collection, and it is 100% polyester fleece. The mid-weight material helps promote heat retention- perfect for the upcoming winter weather! I really think the colors are stunning and it’s always nice to have school spirit. It’s awesome to see so many people on campus walking around sporting the school name on their clothing <3
Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed this post!! Cute clothes can be a great part of your workout motivation, and keep in mind to always try to incorporate some exercise into your lifestyle here and there. I know we all get super busy, but we have to make sure to look out for our bodies too 🙂 I always feel a lot more energetic, peaceful and refreshed after squeezing in some exercise. If you are a UCLA student, be sure to check out the UCLA student store (link here: http://bit.ly/1h5E4QS) for a range of Adidas climalite and climawarm pieces! I think most of my exercise clothing is from Adidas, because I love the fit and their logo~
Thank you to Adidas and Her Campus Media for sponsoring this post!
Stay tuned and love always,
